Printer with dynamic security

Some HP printers are designed to work only with cartridges equipped with a new or reused HP chip or circuit. These printers use dynamic security measures to block cartridges that use a non-HP chip or circuit. Periodic firmware updates will keep these measures effective and block previously working cartridges. HP's reusable chips and circuits allow reused cartridges to be used, remanufactured and refilled.
